Why cant I copy/paste nodes in Fusion?

PostTue Aug 21, 2018 4:10 pm

Im trying to copy two nodes from a clip in Fusion to another clip, and I do a ctlr+C and then ctrl+v and nothing happens. Try it through the menus and nothing happens. This seems like a pretty basic thing here, what am I missing?

I then thought at least I could right click on the node and save its settings to the hard drive. And as soon as I click on "save as..." the menu disappears and the save as menu doesnt come up! I cant win. What's going on here???

Are the two clips in the same project? I have been copying and pasting nodes with no issues, using DR 15 Final.

I have a problem too.
But it appears it is only related to animated nodes.

Any nodes that do not have keyframes can be copy/pasted.

This is a workflow killer!!

Im still having this problem. Peter, can you guys look into this too? I can confirm on one clip at least that the nodes I want to copy do have animation.

Michael, Mark,

Could I have a link to a comp (or a drp with a Fusion node graph) that shows this issue? Along with the log archive and a hardware description?

Thanks

I too have been unable to copy paste or delete nodes in fusion, even back in 16, and as long as I can remember. The ONLY way to get copying and pasting to work is to go to playback - delete render cache -> all. Then I am allowed to copy and paste or delete nodes ONCE and then it's the same problem all over again. I've searched all over these forums and see nothing about this. Unable to copy delete paste nodes in Fusion! Multiple reinstalls, even reinstalling and rebuilding my operating system, even through two different computer builds with different motherboards/processors.
Attached is an example of a project with a ton of fusion clips where this happens in the timeline called "telephone"

Disable the "Clips" view then you can copy paste.

Still a bug but at least there is this workaround :)
