Same problem here. How can I change now the color space when working with different cameras?

Raw material does not need to be selected.
R15 direct recognition, background conversion to ACES,
No special choice required

Thanks for your reply. In that case we are assuming that resolve will always choose the right input color space. What about if it doesnt? How can we change it?

Unfortunately, Resolve does not currently support color space selection for Raw material.
In addition to the latest BMD Raw, other Raw is a background direct conversion, and subsequent BMD Raw should also be updated to background conversion.
Fortunately, for now, all the Raw material is a very correct conversion, you can use it with confidence.

I do believe it is a good thing, but I miss the option if I want to choose something different. Shame they got rid of it.

It does, raw gets converted to the timeline color space.

linear data from the sensor -> linear light in ACES, no transforms needed

You do need a transform to go from sensor data to ACES, no camera has ACES AP0 gamut sensor.

I tested CinemaDNG and this proved to be the case. Changing the Input Device Transform had no effect on the image.

I tried with BRAW, and it did change the image.

Curious.

Hendrik, can you tell me if I should select AP0 or AP1 when I’m working with CinemaDNG or BRAW? Thank you for your advice.

Select where? It depends on your working space, whether timeline data has AP0 or AP1 gamut. Linear AP0 is ACES2065-1, linear AP1 is ACEScg, log AP1 is ACEScc or cct depending on transfer curve. In ACES project Resolve brings stuff into ACES2065-1 first and does a behind the scenes conversion to timeline space. Thats why when IDT is set to bypass, ACES2065-1 stuff like aces exr-s is brought in correctly.

Thank you! I’m using ACEScct so I’ll continue using AP1 log.
