PostThu Sep 20, 2018 12:37 pm

Hi, I dont know if my older post got trough.
I need to convert the color space of a Rec 709 file into Rec 2020.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

You need to read through the manual sections concerned with Color Management. There are a couple of approaches: Resolve Color Management (You'll see it cited as "RCM") and ACES. I would choose the latter if you are attempting to satisfy some kind of contractual requirement. In that case, you would choose an input IDT for Rec 709, and an output ODT in Rec 2020.

You will still have a Rec709 set of values inside the Rec2020 colorspace. They are fairly similar to start with, and you might notice that if you follow through with setting up a CMS (Color Management System).
