Fusion clips stutter in edit tab

Hi

one other bug I encountered and is really annoying: when playing back a fusion clip in the edit tab, it stutters when trying to play it back. yes, I did switch on caching for fusion and also caching the color output for this very clip.

the workaround seems to be to put an empty png (or anything empty) in a track above the fusion clip in the edit tab. it then renders and plays back fine.

but this is tedious and clearly a workaround.

anybody else having this issue? and please BM, if this is a bug: fix it. it makes fusion so much more valuable then in the state it is right now. if this really works i can ditch AE and PR.

Same here. It's very strange because it's getting worst when the fusion comp gets heavier. It's like it doesn't respect the cache at all. My workaround is to write exr sequences with saver node, read them and pipe them to the output of the fusion clip.

why BM, why is this still not fixed? please, can we have normal working timeline that just plays back after it has rendered?

and by the way, the caching in resolve is a disaster. it always needs to re-render after making a tiny change somewhere in the project, sometimes even the complete timeline after just blading a clip in 2 parts.

Holy mother of god! This insane bug is finally gone in 15.3!

Now a clip from fusion renders and plays without stutter. Truly amazed that I can now use a basic function: the one that plays back my video

Anyway, I almost gave up on Resolve having bought the studio version, but seemingly BM listened and fixed things.

So kudos to you.

spoke too soon. simples comps work and play. anything with particles makes the fusion clip stutter even after rendering in the edit tab.

come on! i just started to enjoy resolve again. now this... really?

Has this been resolved? I'm dealing with this on Fusion 17

I've had no issues with Fusion playback in 17.
