Resolve 15.1.0.023 (linux) crash when inserting some title

Hi,
Resolve 15.1.0.023 (linux) crash when inserting a Text+ or 3D Lower 3rd Flipping 2Line title on the timeline.

No problem with simple Text or Scroll Titles.

just seen your post after posting the same problem but on windows, would you mind trying this out to see if you also get a crash:

I am also getting a crash when doing the following:

1. open new untitled project
2. Add TEXT to the timeline
3. off set drop shadow
= instant crash

I too am using a Ryzen CPU but a 1700 and 16GB of Ram - RX580 4GB but using Winows 10 and DR 15.1.0.025

I've just done a try and have no crash.

Maybe the 15.1.1 just released will solve our problems ?

Are you still getting this problem, I ask because I have a support ticket open with Blackmagic and it would be good to give them any clues to the problem we can because they have not been able to reproduce the behaviour at their end?

Also can you use the Fusion page ok without it crashing?

I did a quick test.
Adding a text in the Fusion page, no problem.
By cons I have a immediate crash when I want insert a background.

I redid the manipulation this morning.
Here is the log hoping that Blackmagic finds the cause of this crash.

I now have DR15 working now. I ran windows updates and also ran search for/update drivers in device manager.

I have the same thing happening with 15, went to add a 3D title to my project and it crashed as soon as I opened inspector. Now when I open the project (which I have spent days on) it opens for a few seconds then just closes.

I just did a windows update and am waiting to restart, and will do a update device drivers as well. I am running Windows 10 Pro on intel i7 6 core processor with AMD 480 8GB graphics card.

I hope this gets rectified, I am trying to open my project long enough to delete the 3D title so I can keep working on it..

update: upgraded to 15.1.2.008 & getting same behaviour. Managed to open it long enough to click on 3D title and delete, then it crashed again but stayed up next time I opened it. I made a copy of the project and added 3D title again, but after initial crash when I opened it again it stays open, until I try to do anything with the title then it crashes.

ps. tried adding logfiles to this as well as a new post and this web page crashes when its about 18% uploaded - is there trouble with the forum website today?

According to device manager I had the latest up to date drivers, but I just checked AMD site and there's a new driver available so in the process of installing it now, will see what happens. I may also uninstall 15.1.2 and re install and see if that helps. Can Resolve be uninstalled safely without losing projects?

Also installed monitor drivers, it looked like I had windows drivers for my dual Samsung UHD monitors so I installed newest Samsung driver, so I don't know if that helped or hindered.. Also I don't know if the driver is for both or just one monitor, as one still shows up under device manager as a generic Pnp monitor and the other as the proper model number. I also think I have one monitor connected to DisplayPort and one to HDMI - I thought I recently read somewhere that DisplayPort is the faster connection to use so I will check that later.

update: well after installing latest drivers from AMD I am able to place a Text+ title in my timeline and play with it, have not tried creating one in Fusion yet - but so far so good..

Ryzen on Resolve Linux is a bad idea and you're in for a world of hurt.

the DNx codecs DO NOT work on AMD processors when running Linux, fine on Windows. Been there, tried that and (happily) back on Windows with a 1950x.
