Media manage trimming MP4 error

Hi,

Just installed Resolve 15.1.1
When I try to media manage and trim Sony A7S2 MP4 files, I'm getting a fail error.
I have a bunch of MP4 to media manage for a movie.

I tried the same file with Resolve 14, and it works!

Is this a major bug ?

Could you check with DaVinci Resolve 15.1.2 please?

If it does not work, could you post a sample clip here?

I have tested with your file, which turns out to be a XAVC file wrapped in an mp4 format, and I see the same issue.
I have reported this to the developers and I will let you know when they get back to me.

By the way, trimming of XAVC/MP4 etc formats was only introduced in Resolve 15, so what you saw in Resolve 14 was probably a copy of the file, with no trim.


Actually, I would rather it just do a copy. Now because of it failing, I have to extract the MP4 files before I do a final Media Manage and trimming the rest of the materials. Else it would stop at the failed clip.
