macOS Sierra + Resolve 15: Failed to initialize RED Decoder

Hello friends,

I am new to Resolve and wanting to learn it. Just installed it on my MacBook Air running macOS 10.12.16 + Resolve 15 (latest version) and I am getting the error "Failed to initialize RED Decoder with the configured number of decoders."

I have done some search on the forums and...
I am not running any torrent apps/file transfer software.
I do not have any apps listening on ports 10000 - 10007.

Any help appreciated!

This happened to me too on Win10. But only few times, now the problem is gone and I hope it stays that way

Just wanted to update this thread. I no longer have this issue. All of a sudden the error no longer appears...

This has been happening only when you have a bittorrent client running (whatever which one) at Resolve launch time... You can check by yourself.
I found this out years ago now (and I think it's been discussed a few times), but I had wondered a few months about it before I found the reason

I did not have any torrent clients running. I don't use torrents. Was just a clean install of macOS + Resolve. I don't know what fixed the issue. I did not run into it since then.
