Audio lags 1.5secs

PostSat Oct 13, 2018 9:22 am

Has anyone else seen or heard this?

Some mp4 clips with h.264/AAC play fine in Quicktime Player/VLC on macOS but when imported into DRS the audio is around 1.5secs - 2secs behind video...

Other mp4 clips are just fine....

Any why this lags happens on some h.264/AAC clips?

It is indeed...

But I also have other clips in h.264/AAC with 48kHz audio sample rate...

I would transcode the material to DNxHD or ProRes and only use the transcode in Resolve.

I know I can transcode here...but that's not the point (o;

Transcode in Apple Compressor to h.264 mp4 -> Okay
Transcode in Apple Quicktime Player to h.264 mp4 -> Audio lags

Happens in 15.0.1 and 15.1.1, and guess all other versions as well..

And since there is no audio lag in other software like FCP I consider this a bug in DR(S) ;-)
