Timelapse cr2 files for grading

PostTue Oct 16, 2018 11:35 am

Hi there,

When I load my cr2 (Canon Raw stills) sequence into Resolve the files look very dark compared to the look they have in Lightroom where I already did the deflickering in conjunction with LRTimelapse. Can anybody give me advise how to get the cr2 files in resolve with the camera raw metadata from the .xmp file? I already read on the forum that dng sequence gets better result when imported in resolve. But when I import Resolve says the files are offline.

Any advise is welcome, thanks

I believe there should be new Canon RAW controls now available in V15 to adjust the image to a more normal space, I have always had the same issue on import at first in the past without these new tools.

let us know if the new RAW settings are able to get around the very dark on import issue, it would be good to know. You should see these options in your project settings / Camera RAW and they behave like a RED or ARI camera debayer would.
