Resolve UserInterface GUI doesn't start / Assertion failed!

Hello!

I have a problem with the Resovle 15.1.1
The UI didn't start, but I see it's running in the task.

What I have done, up to this time:
    I have a Dell XPS 15 like JohnTodd and used his discription. (*1)
    But it didn't work.

    I used google search and the forum search, without a resault.
    Maybe I use the wronge words. Sorry if it's so. :|

After every reinstall, if I try to start Resolve, I got by every first start the errormassage: Assertion failed! :(

After that, I see in the task-manager the program is running without a GUI.
I closed the task in the task-manager and restart it, but nothing happend. No errormassage, no GUI. But in the task-manager I can see it again (with a new PID).

Now I don't have any more idea.
    I have the problem round about only since a weeks.
    Before that I worked three times with this version.
    I didn't install or change anything in the time between.

I read the request and save the data on OneDrive (*2).
The Version: Resolve 15.1.1

I hope someone can help me.

which version of window is that? which is your cpu/ram/GPU?

I saved the logs and .nfo on onedrive

The Logs from the older version of resolve. But it was the same problem.

Windows 10 Home, 64-bit
Verison: 1803

GeForce GTX 1050

RAM 16 GB

connect the monitor to the 1050 and disable the Intel card.

I seem to recall that the BMD Recommended Configuration is for Windows 10 Pro.

Where I can do that?
It's a laptop.
There isn't a directconnection to the gtx 1050, and in the Systemconfig I didn't find anything.

Something that recently happened to my Resolve install was that Windows 10 inexplicably changed my firewall settings (after a basic "security update", not even a big one!)

This set Resolve's permissions to private network access for inbound connections with the end result of preventing Resolve from getting any further than the "Fairlight" section of the loading screen.

Once I manually reset the advanced firewall settings to allow public and domain inbound connections from all Resolve/Blackmagic programmes, all was fixed again. However, installing 15.1.2 broke things in exactly the same way (but could also be fixed the same way...)

I'm not saying that this is necessarily your issue, but it may be worth a look at your firewall settings in case the same thing has happened to your system?

So... I was reset the Laptop and installed Win10 again.
Now the program is running.

Return to DaVinci Resolve
