Issue importing clips to Resolve Studio from external ssd

Hello, I am using Resolve Studio 15.1.2008 on a 2016 Macbook Pro. Resolve Studio will not import my MP4 files (from Sony A7III, 4K files) from my external SSD drive. However, it DOES import MP4 Files when I import directly from my Macbook Pro internal ssd. However, Resolve 15 (free version) does accept my Sony A7III 4K MP4 files from both my external (ssd & hdd) and my internal ssd drive.

What I have tried so far:

Created a timeline bin and then dragging files to the timeline bin. No success.

Dragged MP4 files directly onto the timeline on the edit page. No success.

Attempted to import media from the file menu. File> Import Media... No success

Info about the MP4 Files

Camera: Sony A7 III

Camera Settings: XVAC 4K, H.264, 3840x2160, Linear PCM, 16 bit big-endian signed integer, 2 channels, 48,000 hz, FPS 23.98, data rate: 98.54 Mbit/s

Does anyone know why Resolve Studio is not accepting files from my external drives?

As it turns out, I didn't set the media storage location for the files. Done and fixed now!
