H.264 Master

PostThu Nov 15, 2018 1:50 am

As MP4 is the ubiquitous standard for H.264 delivery, I think that should be the default format for the H.264 Master preset, not QuickTime.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

MP4 does not allow PCM audio, which I would think is a requirement for a master.

PCM can be used with MP4. It's how Panasonic cameras do it.

Additionally, I'm hard pressed to consider H.264 truly a "Master" format, despite the Preset's name. And for delivery, AAC is the norm as well as the default for this preset.

Could be though if it was all Intra frame, with a better H264 encoder and PCM audio option.
