Help with Resolve 12.5 and timelapse videos

PostTue Nov 27, 2018 4:45 am

I'm testing out Resolve 12.5 for creating timelapse videos and have run into a bit of a issue.

I'm using high res CR2 files and adding them to a 4K timeline, I'd like to use the additional resolution (the file res is higher than 4K) to be able to add pan and zoom effects but Resolve always seems to resize the files down to fit 4K and I can't find a way to stop it from resizing the files. I know what I want to do is possible in AE but I'd like to try and keep my workflow inside Resolve. Does anyone know how I can maintain the original file resolution or if it's even possible.

Thanks.

Have you checked the Image Scaling settings under Preferences?

Why are you using Resolve 12.5?

Look in Project Settings - Image Scaling. You probably have Input Scaling set to Scale Entire Image To Fit. You probably want Center Crop With No Resizing.
