[BUG] 15.2.1 Replace selected clip NOT SOLVED 15.2.4

PostMon Dec 03, 2018 10:00 am

Hello again,
thank you that the replace selected clip was partially fixed in 15.2.1 (when replacing different clip name) but the bug is still there (when replacing a clip with the same name).

If someone asks how often do I need such feature, the answer is: several times in a day and I know other users who need this too.

I made a video about this problem. I made it unlisted from youtube search as I don't want to spread any negative statements about BM.

Here is the link:

If someone doesn't want to watch the video, here is the problem in one sentence:
It is not possible to replace a still image with the same name without restarting Resolve.

Solutions (from my point of view):
A) add a memory refresh routine after each replace media action
B) just make a new option in the MENU like REFRESH MEDIA (or RELOAD MEDIA) so we don't need to replace media with the same name actually then

Thank you.

I can confirm this bug. Refresh in the media pool browser has no effect.

I also saw this lack of refreshness a few times... The different poor workarounds I found don't do the real trick a working "refresh" thing would...

Would be nice to have that. One thing, though, I don't have to restart resolve. I just have to click onto another clip, press play, and then generally the still will update when I go back to it.
