I have this Resolve USB Dongle...

Will it work with the new Resolve 15 studio?

Dongles all the way from Resolve 8 still work, as long as nobody broke them. Try it and see, the download is free.

That looks like an authentic dongle. If it is a fake, it won’t work with v15.2, though it will work on older versions. Remember, no money reaches BMD with fake purchases.

Care to elaborate? I don't see the difference between that and my authentic dongle that came with an Ursa Mini 4.6K.

The resolve logo is off center...

But the real test is to check different versions of software: if only one works, it's a crack.

The sticker is just placed on the dongle crooked. Could be a manufacturing oddity. But like you said, the real test is in seeing if 15.2.1 will accept it.

That's no indicator, on my original Fusion dongle the label is also slightly off center.

It shouldn't be a sticker: in the one Marc showed it is serigraph....

The one Marc showed is the photo that I took, and it is definitely a sticker. The textured finish on the sticker is just different.

My dongle also has a sticker. It bought it from an authorized reseller and it continues to work in version 15.2.1. Apparently there are also official dongles with stickers.

My dongle is authentic... I bought it with my BMCC 2.5K camera.... Now I got the BMPCC4K camera with the SD card version.... I want to sell this dongle and some buyer asked if it can be used with Resolve 15... I'm not around a reasonable computer so I cannot test...

what makes you think an authentic dongle wouldn't work?

Peter Chamberlain has stated that dongles as far back as version 6 still work. These are from well before Blackmagic acquired Resolve (that was 8 or 9).
