PostThu Dec 13, 2018 3:45 pm

Hej,

i tried hard to find a solution but nothing is working. I searched the forum but cannot find a anything about that. maybe im doing it wrong...

i have eg 20 clips from one camera and 3 additional audio tracks to each clip (sum 60 clips) all synced with timecade from a generator. how can i sync them all like it works in final cut (selecting everything and sync all 20 clips and audio to one timeline)

sorry about my english!

best, ben

Here is a video that shows the steps.

if you have synched timecode, you should have no issues.

Hej,

thanks. That works fine with 1 Clip per Camera Angle. But it doesnt work with 20 Clips with 3 separate Audio Tracks (or in my case 187 Clips with 561 Audio Clips)

Any idea?

As you can see i can marked 1 clip and the 3 audio clips with identical timecode... whatever i choose from the auto sync submenu - just the xxxtr1 is added to the video not tr3 + tr4.... and i have to do that with over 100 clips.....

If they're all from the same camera, then you don't need multicam.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Currently you can't do it inside resolve. You have to use a 3rd part application and import a timeline, and even that can have issues.

Thanks for the answers.

I do need "multicam" or other syncing tools to match one camera with 3 audio tracks even when i have just one camera. And Sorry, maybe Multicaam is not th right word... its more or less video and audio syncing. ;)

workaround
: transcode all RAW clips to prores. import everything in final cut: select all clips and audio, right click, sync video and audio and it takes final cut 3-4 seconds to match everything perfectly.

this is what i usally do. recording 1 (or more) cameras with wireless tc generators with 2-X audio sources, recorded externally (zoom f4). that makes davinci completely useless for my work if those basic operations are not possible...

You can sync audio to the video see this video for an example.

What you can't currently do is have all the audio and video clips from multiple cameras and or audio recorders synced up on the timeline.
