Fusion tab crash on R15.2.2 with Intel GPU

PostWed Jan 02, 2019 4:32 pm

I would like to use Resolve for light tasks also on a lower end pc W10 64bit with i7-7700 integrated GPU Intel i630 and R15.2.2 (latest).
Instead if I load a project with a Fusion node it crashes.
I created a new one and only clicking on Fusion icon, it tries to open Nodes = crash

So, is it normal or should at least open the Fusion tab, of course going very slow with integrated GPU?
I'd like if could it possible, because at least I could open projects to make some changes in edit or color.

I have experienced the same behavior for a long time using an I7-8550U with integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 graphics and R15.2.2 running on a Lenovo X1 Yoga (Win10). In my case, it finally turned out to be an Intel display driver problem: I uninstalled the newest recommended (by Lenovo) driver version 24.20.100.6344 and installed driver version 23.20.16.4973 instead. R15.2.2 has been stable ever since.

Thank you a LOT, Niels.

I installed the same version that works for you and even in my pc it works!

Before I had the drivers 25.20.100.6323 DCH and this Crashes too!
So it seems the only working driver is upto 23.20.16.4973.

I suggest BM to contact Intel to solve this issue. Very bad this crash!

Today I tried the new Intel DCH 25.20.100.6519, but Resolve can't even recognize any OpenCL GPU??
What's going on?

Unfortunately, you'll have to upgrade your PC specs to have a consistent performance for version 15, as it is a resource hog.

No, it's not that problem. A i7-7700 can play basic Resolve tasks. And with other Intel drivers it works. It's a problem with this latest release drivers... they are always worst with Resolve instead of better!
I hope BM can do something with this.
