No Output Audio on *some* clips

Just made the jump to Resolve 15 after *struggling* with Lightworks. A pleasure to work with Resolve's editor.

I have a collection of clips from a trip. I've edited them together and confirmed that all clips do have sound. They all play with sound in both the clip preview and the timeline preview.

But on export *some* of the clips loose sound. Seems to be the same ones every time and occurs regardless of the multiple output container and audio options I've tried. These clips are coming from the same camera as other clips that are working fine.

I even tried PCM audio out with the same problem. I've looked at the problem clips in the editor. I don't see that I've selected any kind of mute option.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Are you rendering the clips in a complete timeline or as individual clips?
Audio is handled differently in individual clip mode as its designed for dailies and round trip.

Complete timeline. Outputting a single file.

I have tried outputting at least a dozen time. MOV and MP4. For audio tried both AAC and PCM and played with the bit rates. No success.

I have checked each of the problem clips. They are not muted. I tried slightly increasing the volume on those clips. Still no success.

Really, nothing? This is not endearing me to Blackmagic.

My problem is real and I really want a workaround.

And why isn't this post in the forum?

Someone may be able to help if you provide more detail about your problem. We can't see how you are doing things and have no idea of your computer or OS. Usually no response on this forum means nobody else has experienced your problem. That alone should give you some clues regarding wether it's a software issue or not.
"And why isn't this post in the forum?" What do you mean?

Okay, my bad. This is Resolve 15.2.2 on Windows 10. 16GB RAM on a Radeon RX 580. What else is needed?

I guess I'm looking in the wrong place for my post. With 64 reads it's obviously posted. Also my bad.

Are the source clips all the same format or are the ones that are missing a different format? Try making a test timeline with only the offending clips in it and render that to see if it's the clips or something else.

and are the clips with no audio the same ones each time you have tried or is it random and different each time?

also, some details on what the files are would be helpful - ie, h254 or Prores DNxHD etc, fixed or variable frame rate,

The problem clips are from the same camera as the working clips. So yes, same format.

The problem clips are the same every time. The error does not move around.

I guess I wait for 15.3 and see if that fixes things.

which makes me think then, that it is something particular to those clips. Different framerate? located in a different folder? Different track on the timeline? a particular plugin used on just those clips?

Try making a new project, and put some of the problem clips onto a new timeline and see what happens
