Chromatic Adaptation Matrix

PostThu Jan 17, 2019 10:45 am

Hi,

Does any know what kind of chromatic adaptation Resolve uses when changing illuminants?

As a feature request, it would be nice to have the Bradford matrix (and potentially others) as an option in the color transform OFX.

Thanks,

C.

I think it use the standard, non bradford.

May i ask: when/ where do you use it?

Although, it is not difficult to make a dctl for it.

I suspect so too.

It is useful when doing color space conversion, especially with different illuminants.

Thanks Walter,

But with the cameras data, don't you have random white points, not illuminant?

Also, using a Bradford to go from a specific white point to xyz for theatrical distribution, will generate the wrong result because at projector level, the inverse matrices to go back to p3 are not bradford
