No Audio Playback

PostFri Jan 18, 2019 2:21 am

This has been happening the last few time I've been editing my videos recently, I've looked on the forums here for advice but nothing seems to be working. I've changed the speaker settings of my laptop, worked with the preferences in Resolve, changed the audio output ACA. Nothing works. Any advice or am I screwed? It works fine when I play the audio in the archive but it doesn't work when I try to edit it.

what do you mean by the archive? do you play it back inside resolve?

there's a little icon below the timeline viewer/inspector where you can mute/unmute the audio. It gets me sometimes. just a shot in the dark though..

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @2.40Ghz
GetForce GT 630M
10 Go Ram
DaVinci Resolve 15.2.0.033

I have the same problem. If I get the audio in the separate (clip viewer)screen it is working but not on the timeline. In fact if does work and suddently for any reason it stop working and sometime it does work on on one place for 1 or 2 seconde but nowhere else. I close DaVinci and reopen it and it does work normally. It's happend a few time.

I can play the audio just fine in the Media portion of the software but when I go to scrub through the audio on any other portion it will not show up. No waveforms or anything will show, and it's seemingly random when this problem will occur.

Check that the sample rate setting of your computers audio replay matches that of the video clip. The Media page can cope with a mis-match, the rest of the programme not. If your video was shot with a variable frame rate, this will also cause similar problems.

The thing is, the project in question only has audio with a few still images acting as the video component
