Fuji X-T3 10bit files show up as 8bit.

PostTue Jan 22, 2019 4:10 pm

Hi,

Has anyone else encountered this issue where the H.265 10bit 4.2.0 files show in clip details as 8bit. The codec info in VLC-player shows as 10bit.
If so is there a solution for this? Or will Resolve still have acces to all the data in the file?

Regards,
Daniel.

Using the studio version of Resolve 15.

It's a bug in the latest version but only affects the info panel not the actual footage.

I just got my X-T3 yesterday. I just discovered the "free" Resolve cannot open the HEVC files from the camera. Can you tell me how well the Studio version handles them? If I have to transcode either way then it doesn't make sense for me to pay for the studio version.

They play at full speed in full quality up to 4K DCI 60p 10 bit 420 here without any issues like frame drops. (don't try that in Premiere...)

But your mileage may vary depending on your hardware.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.
