DaVinci Resolve closes unexpectedly during its work

PostWed Feb 13, 2019 3:22 pm

I need some technical help. I'm not able to work as DaVinci Resolve on my computer tends to shut down unexpectedly in random moments. Usually it happens while adding some video clip to timeline. Always happens while rendering/exporting film.
I'm afraid I can't provide any more details. There is no error message I could post here. Program closes without leaving any information.
Are there any ways to check what happens?

Problem occurs on DaVinci Resolve 15.2.4.006.
My PC has 12GB of RAM, Windows Task Manager shows usage of memory at below 50% at the time of crashing, so its not bacause of low memory.

Which GPU do you have? What's the format and codec of the video you try to work with?
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Your GPU might be too weak for Resolve. But you could try and transcode your H.264 footage into DNxHD.

Can it be done in Davinci Resolve? There is an option when I right-click on video in Media Pool: "Generate optimized media".

Also, is there any way to see why exactly is it crashing? Does Davinci Resolve save some logs somewhere?
