Davinci Resolve Studio stuck at "Loading Fairlight Page"

Loading fails with 15.2.4.6 (and previous version which I upgraded from, not sure which). Splash screen gets to Loading Fairlight page and hangs.

Are you on Windows and have or at some point had Python 2.7 installed on your machine?

Did have Python 2.7 installed. Tried uninstalling. Rebooted. No change.

Try reinstalling Python 2.7. I have run into this issue when some Python modules are corrupt. Resolve doesn't necessarily need Python 2.7 in Windows, but if it's there it seems to depend on it.

I haven't tested your particular case what happens when user uninstalls Windows Python. But from what I have seen Resolve may still be looking and not finding Python in it's place. Reinstalling Resolve Studio didn't solve the issue for me. I had to reinstall Python 2.7. It's possible that Python removal leaves some registry keys in an invalid state which maybe affects Resolve.

I had this problem, and solved it by making sure that my firewall program was not blocking Davinci Resolve, FusionScript services for Fusion, and dpdecoder, as these all seem to want to communicate via localhost TCP 127.0.0.1. I enabled all those in my firewall and it started up instantly, hope this helps!

No Python, No Firewall. Still can't randomly use Resolve.

I guess it's only $199 now because you can only use it 10% of the time.

Have you by chance activated a fairlight panel, or set one of those options?
I did that one time, and it stuck trying to load fairlight because it was looking for a panel I dont have
