Resolve 15 keep crashing

PostSun Mar 24, 2019 10:52 pm

I had previously been running Davinci Resolve 14 on this same machine setup, no problems editing 4k DNG projects out of the URSA Mini. Everything was smooth all the way. I've read as many threads as I could find with similar issues but can't find a solution.

I did a clean system format with a new system drive (SSD) and did a clean install of Davinci Resolve 15.2.2.007.

Ever since Resolve won't stay stable and open for more than a couple of minutes at most. It crashes and shuts down, and nothing, in particular, seems to trigger it, sometimes it seems to be just a matter of seconds. I tried updating my GPU drivers. Still the same.

I upgraded to Resolve 15.3.0.008 (uninstalling and then reinstalling latest version). Still the same issue. I assumed the issue might be with me trying to work on a project originally made in Resolve 14 so I tried starting from scratch with a new project. Still crashes. I don't even have to do anything, it stays stable for a couple of minutes and as soon as I move the mouse or click on ANYITHING, it crashes.

Here is the log file: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1B2mmO ... RMtnnWO9sY

My system setup is exactly the same as when I was running Resolve 14 successfully:

Alienware 17 R2 (laptop) running Windows 10 Home (x64) version 10.0.17763
CPU is Intel COre i7-4720HG @ 2.6Ghz
Intel HD GRAPHICS 4600 driver 20.19.15.4835
BIOS is Alienware A10, 1/25/2018
SMBIOS 2.8
OS running on a 256 Gb SSD
16GB RAM
GeForce GTX 970M 3GB GPU (driver version 419.35)
Media running off of two internal M.2 SSDs and one internal 1TB HDD.
Additional media running on external HDD vía USB 3.0

If you put the same v14 version that was working back on, is it more stable?

Where can I find an installer file for a previous version? Or is there another easier way to go back to 14?

I'm having trouble finding a previous version of Resolve installer on the website.

On the other hand, I'd like to take advantage of some of the new features in v15. Is there no apparent solution or should I resign to using v14?

I have also sent an email via support center but had no reply.

UPDATE

SO I reinstalled ver 14.3

Runs smoothly, no problems so far, except now I can't read BRAW. Is there no BRAW support on Resolve 14.3?

Is there anyway to fix whatever was happening with Resolve 15 on my machine?
