Standard Generator Duration - What are standard Generators?

Hi,

So I am studying all the setting of DR and I came a cross on this setting "Standard Generator Duration".
Just want to know what are does standard generators they are referring. I already try searching but cant find a answer.

it is not 'duration of standard generators', but 'standard duration for generators'.

Also grayscale, 10-step gray, various ramps and test signals. Very handy. I always include at least 1 second of SMPTE bars and Grayscale ramp at the head of every Rec709 export I do (prior to slate) just to confirm that nothing went south in terms of colorspace or levels.
