Clips missing when using render individual clips

PostTue May 21, 2019 9:13 pm

Hi,

I'm making H.264 dailies in Resolve 15 by taking a stringout of the days footage, directing it to the folder I'd like it to render to, and using the render individual clip setting. However, once the job is complete some of the clips in my timeline are being skipped. Does anyone have an idea why this might be happening or what I can do to correct the problem.

Thanks,
Dave

Where are the clips located that are being missed, at either end or in the middle?

On the render page there is a bar above the clips that show which clips are being rendered, is this bar covering all the clips?

Make sure that there are no identical file names on the original clips. They will overwrite previously rendered clips during the deliver page render.

This happened to me as well

The render bar was set correctly above the files of interest. and the files had unique names.

I tested with 5 clips, 1,2,3 were similar and placed into the timeline directly from the media list. I trimmed clips 4, and 5 using the media preview pane (sorry not exactly sure what it is called) when I entered them into the timeline.

The render output folder contents after render was file 3,4,5. 1 and 2 were missing. I think both overwritten by 3.

I then went back to the timeline, and made small trims to 1,2, and 3.

Reran the render, and all files were there.

Feels like a bug to me.
