Failed to open database connection

Hi.

My peer and I are trying to get a shared database up and running so that we can do a collaborative project. Our computers are connected using an Ethernet cable so that's a network with 2 hosts. My peer has created a server on his machine and he followed the instructions carefully, but whenever I try to connect to his database, DaVinci Resolve always returns an error that says it has failed to connect. The log messages read:

Cannot connect to database test001192.168.1.3! could not connect to server: Connection timed out
Is the server running on host "192.168.1.3" and accepting
TCP/IP connections on port 5432?
QPSQL: Unable to connect

What are the possible solutions for this problem? Thanks.

Are u both using the exact same studio version?
Can each computer ping the other?
Did u use the project manager server to generate a key?

Is there anything else that we can try?
