Fairlight Automation of Plugins

It's really difficult to make the jump from Premiere because of Resolve's weakness in automation, with respects to Fairlight and the use of plugins. Premiere allows us to make keyframes, and change individual parameters via a pencil, or simply punching in a number on the keyboard. For example, we can change the Wet/Dry paramater by using our keyboard and setting it to whatever value we want. Resolve forces us to grab a tiny little dot and try to adjust via a pencil. This is excruciatingly difficult.

Has anyone succesfully learned to navigate Fairlight with respect to automating plugins? Not just turning on and off...I'm talking changing individual parameters.

One of the many automation additions with version 16 is Preview mode, allowing more flexibility in writing plugin parameter automation data across ranges and Gliding between values.

Can you punch in values, via keyboard?

With version 16, yes.

Assign custom keybindings via the Keyboard Customisation window to the following commands:
Fairlight > Automation > Punch In
Fairlight > Automation > Punch Out
