Fairlight adjustment to multicam disappear

PostThu Jul 18, 2019 10:23 pm

I am adjusting the dynamics in a multicam clip. As soon as I click on a different timeline the adjustments disappear. Anyone know what gives?

I am also unable to reliably copy and paste track attributes in Fairlight. Sometimes the paste window comes up, mostly it does not.

I'm having the same issue with Resolve Studio 18.1.4 build 9
Can't find anything on the web to fix the issue so far.
If this isn't a bug but a feature, why can we set effects in Fairlight, but then they dissapear???

Did you find a solution?

I usually recommend keeping audio out of the Multicam.

Add the audio you want to hear under the Multicam, sync it up, and then Disable the audio portion of the Multicam.

This makes working in Fairlight much easier. It also avoids an issue that often crops up when using audio in Compound Clips/Nested Timelines.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
