Number Keypad CAN be used for shortcuts!

Turns out the number keypad CAN be used for shortcuts.

Simply turn off the Numbers Lock Key (Num Lock)
They can now be assigned to most anything.

Almost fell out of my chair.
Clicked the keypad by accident, and Resolve responded with a keyboard shortcut.
Looked around, and the Num Lock was turned off.

I have now set my editing keyboard shortcuts to my years-long (previous software) familiar
number-pad shortcuts.
Makes one-handed keyboard editing fast and easy.

Davinci Resolve Studio 16.1, if it matters.
Don't know if it's a new change with 16.1, (doubt it)
or I just never had the num lock off to realize.

I've read numerous posts and have posted myself on the wish/desire for this feature.

Search on "Keyboard Customization" in the PDF of the DR manual. According to it number-pad reassignment was added in DR 15.2

Yes, page 137-141 discusses keyboard shortcut assignments.
However, I and many others have tried to assign shortcuts to the number-pad keys without success.
What was missing was the instruction to turn off the numbers lock key.

1 added line in the manual -
"To assign/use new keyboard shortcuts with the number-pad, the numbers lock key must be turned off", would solve a lot of confusion.

Just glad I can now use number-pad keyboard shortcuts,
and wanted to share the process for whomever might find it useful.

I don’t know if it’s my keyboard but whenever I turn off Num Lock it references the numbers as their secondary keys (Home, Up, PG Up, Left, Clear, Right, End, Down, Pg Down). Then when Num Lock is on, it just links them to the non-number pad numbers.

The computer itself recognizes the Num Locked numbers as the keypad... don’t know why resolve isn’t. The other thing is, with the default shortcuts (print colors), Resolve recognizes those inputs as coming from the keypad. I just for the life of me cant get them to reassign.
