RED Monstro decoding bug in Resolve Studio 16 (OSX)

PostSun Sep 15, 2019 5:02 pm

I have the OSX App Store version of Resolve 16 running on my Mac Trashcan. OSX 10.14.5 (not 10.14.6).

System Report, Resolve Logs, and some sample R3D media is here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/67zkp2yy7tkn ... vYz9a?dl=0

The error, which appears when using Full Res Premium, but vanishes with Half Res Premium or lower, and which does not affect identically-sized Helium footage, is that the top-most and left-most pixels are white, the right-most pixels are pale red, and the bottom-most are a pale blue. Considering how much money I spent on every pixel of the Monstro sensor, I expect every single one to be properly decoded

RED Monstro decoding bug in Resolve Studio 16 (OSX)

I highly doubt that the MacPro6,1, even with Dual D700s, would be capable of de-Bayering full-res 8K R3D from a Monstro.

RED CINE-X Pro (version 51) does it just fine, so I think the problem is with Resolve's software, not the Mac's hardware.
