How to batch replace all HD clips on a timeline with 4k.

PostThu Sep 19, 2019 11:04 am

I edited a project with Prores HD files and now I want to replace them all with the original 4k.mp4
The clips have identical names apart from the mp4 or mov that follows it. I can easily replace them accurately one by one with the "replace selected clip" function in the bin. But I would like to do them in batches if that is possible.

When I try to relink several clips and point to the folder with the 4K files in them, it will not find the correct clips.

How can I get this done`?

Thanks :)

You can instruct Resolve to ignore the extensions.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Delete all the HD files from the media pool, right-click the timeline thumbnail, >Timelines>import>Additional files with loose name match.
