GPU Memory

PostFri Apr 28, 2017 9:38 pm

Hi new user of the Fusion 8 free edition.

Just checking if my graphics card is man enough - it's a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 570 says it has 9460mb total available graphics memory with 1280mb dedicated. I'm not sure what figure is most important.

Thanks
Phi

Officially? It won't work. Unofficially? Try it.

Neither of the two figures is important for what you need it to do. Simply, this card cannot be used with Resolve.

Even if you manage to boot the software it will run out of memory a few minutes later.

You are only totaling 1GB of GPU memory. To give you some perspective, One of the 2 GPUs i am using is a GTX 1070 with 8 GB of memory and sometimes i feel it is almost adequate for what i am doing.

But it should be fine with Fusion.
