How to dock an "undocked Window" with the Windows Manager ?

PostThu Mar 02, 2017 12:58 pm

Hi Fusion user,

W7/Fusion 8.2.1

1- From any window, one can create a new tabbed window.
2- Then undock this window.
3- PROBLEM : No way for me to re-dock the Window.

I can only close it.
Someone knows how to plug an "undocked window" using this window manager ?

N.B. : Many crashes that close the FUSION application happens with Windows 7 when I plug and unplug Windows.

Regards

Yes, how can an undocked view window be redocked?

And once undocking a view, all new views that are created are undocked as well.

P.S. I sent a PM to my account changed over to my real name.

What I do is Left click on empty space in the undocked window, select 'View Layout' then select 'Show Tabs', grab the Tab and drag it to where needed. This doesn't work for Views unfortunately. The interface in Fusion does need a little work, hopefully in the next release.

Is there a way to create a new image view and have it dock? It seems like new image views are always floating.

Right click on a Tab (e.g. Left), select Add View and then select Image View.

Kel,

Thanks. As far as I can tell, that creates another tab inside the same window. Which means that you can't see both tabs images side by side.

Drag the Tab over to the side you want it on and it will create it in a new window.

Okay, Kel, thanks so very much, I think I've got the hang of it.
