Fusion Studio sold out...

Hi I have noticed all the online retailers listed for Fusion have not updated their stores to include Fusion 9.

I did go to BH Photo and ordered Fusion 8 with dongle (for new Fusion 9 price of 299) - however I called them today and they said they had no information from Blackmagic when Fusion 8 would ship - and had not heard anything about Fusion 9.

I would hope the Fusion 8 dongle will work for Fusion 9 when its delivered - is there any idea of how long it will be before retailers will be getting new Fusion packages to sell?

I suspect they underestimated demand due to the price drop. I too ordered online the day after the announcement and today my dealer said he has no idea when it will be available.

I ordered the second to last one off Amazon the day before the price cut. They were in short supply even at $950.

I ordered from Motion Media on Monday - I got a message from them yesterday that BMD wouldn't be shipping more units for another week or two. It's weird waiting for a physical software shipment, feels very retro!

I had the same thing in France. Price not updated (seller in the list proposed by BMD!) And out of stock. The only up-to-date and available stock + discount price is Atreid: excluding VAT: 233.1€ (vs 259.00€)

With the new pricing I'm quite eager to get my hands on a copy of the studio version. Alas, I find it is sold out both at my local retailers, but also b&h, Adorama etc

Any estimate on when dongles will be back inn stock?

Or how about moving away from dongles, and going the licence key route?

I'm going crazy here...resellers in my country don't carry Fusion 9 Studio (yet?), other online shops in EU either won't ship to my country (it's EU as well, mind you ) or ask crazy amounts of money for shipping (a dongle?)...

However, I came accross what looks like a nice offer at http://www.proav.co.uk for a product called "Blackmagic Design Fusion Studio" but description claims it's "Fusion 7 Studio" (???) which used to be $1000 so it can't be that, because the price stated is sub-GBP 300...I understand, however, that, in fact, the dongle is the same for versions up to V9, and it would work at least for versions of Fusion since V7, and I just need to download the "Fusion 9 Studio Update" from BMD site? Am I correct and I could safely order from them or...?

I will contact the seeller but would like to hear some confrmation for my line of thinking above...

You are correct Mario. A dongle for Fusion 7 will work with 8 and 9.

There is stock and it delivers throughout Europe as far as I know. For transport costs, it is country-specific.

I think they're starting to get caught up with demand. Mine just arrived, although I'm in the USA.

I ordered Fusion and Resolve 2 weeks ago with a local reseller (Mexico City) and asked them today about any news. They say for Resolve probably in 2 or 3 weeks, but for Fusion about 6-8 weeks

I guess there's nothing to do but wait...
