Make 3D object transparent so video shines through it

Hello Community.

So I was importing an FBX Mesh of a Symbol, set a 3D camera and light it in a solid green with a ambient light. I was going to the Color tab and picked the colour green in the keyer, but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

I want my symbol to be transparent, so a video shines through the parts of the symbol. Hope that somebody can help.

Do you mean something like I have in the pictures below? I have imported an FBX mesh of some 3D text. I have an ImagePlane3D behind it and you can see the image through the text. Is this what you are trying to create with your symbol?

If you want a 3d object to be transparent you need to alter its material or use Replace Material node and lower its opacity..
