Troubles with colours in Fusion

PostSat Oct 05, 2019 2:12 pm

When I am working in Fusion, and lets say I use a text node, the text is displayed in the viewer as white or black and all seems okay.
However as soon as I change the colour it changes to a lighter shade than the colour picker, what's more if I use pick screen colour, then it is lighter than the screen colour, if I keep changing by picking screen colour eventually it will be white.
I really cannot figure what is going on.

If it helps in Color management I am set to
DaVinci YRGB Color Managed
Input: Rec.709 Gamma 2.4
Timeline: Rec.709 Gamma 2.4
Output: Rec.709 Gamma 2.4
Limit Output: Output Color Space
Timeline to Output Tone Mapping: None

Fusion assumes that your images are linear and viewed through a viewer LUT. If that's not the case, you need to tell it so in order for it to work as you expect.

In the Fusion Preferences, go to the User Interface section and turn on Gamma Aware Color Controls. The picker will compensate (roughly) for the transfer function.
