I'm trying to build an expression for a few credit pages.
My idea is to have a few published items...Header, Name 1 Name 2, Name 3 etc.
I've published the font, size style etc for Header and Name 1, and can easily link them to other text items, so changing 1 item, changes all the other text on the screen.
I would also like to have the Names offset from each other by an expression.
So the Header is at (Y) 0.6) Name 1 is at (Y) 0.5.
I would like to have all the other Names to be .08 less than the previous one...cascading effect.
I can make an expression where each is offset from Name 1 by those amounts.
Point(NAME1.Center.Y, 0.42) for Name 2 for example, but right now I can only figure out how to manually enter the values for each Name. I would like to use a (Y-.08) variable somehow, but I can't figure out the correct syntax.
I was hoping I could make an expression for Name 2, linking to Name 1 Y...then Name 3 linking to Name 2 Y, and so on.
Basically, if i decide (or the client decides) that the spaces are too close, or too far apart, i'd like to just adjust the Y value on Name 1, and have everything else cascade.
any help is appreciated.
