Fusion and DaVinci Resolve Dongle vs Codes

PostThu Jan 02, 2020 4:33 pm

Hi everyone, I'm sure this has been asked many times but I can't find the answer.

Does anyone know the most efficient way of upgrading to Studio – will the Resolve dongle cover Fusion 16?

If so that sounds like a good reason to go for the dongle.

I understand that the code option means that you can install on two machines – but I'm guessing that this would mean just activating Resolve (or Fusion). Is this correct? Or can a licence code for one activate the other?

Thanks again in advance!

Your best option is a Fusion Studio dongle. That will unlock all BMD editions of Fusion as well as Resolve v15 & 16. The Resolve dongle will unlock Resolve + Fusion 16. A software activation code will unlock only Resolve, I think.
