fusion text moving in the frame on a transformed clip

PostWed May 06, 2020 3:01 am

I am putting scrolling titles on a clip which already has simple "Pan and zoom" transformations keyframed in the edit tab. I am using text+ and a merge node in the fusion tab. My problem is that the scrolling text I created in fusion is now following the clip which was panned and zoomed in the edit tab. I want to position my fusion titles relative to the viewing window, not the clip. The text is now moving around the frame in unwanted directions. I'm sure there is a simple solution but I can't find it. I'd appreciate any help.

Thank you!

I would suggest adding the Titles either using a Text+ Title from the Edit page or use an Adjustment Clip and add the Text+ node after opening the Adjustment clip in the Fusion tab.

Adjustment clip! Yeah, why didn't I think of that? Many thanks,
