Fusion extremely slow rendering of effects

Hi,

I am new to Resolve and Fusion. I have used Resolve a couple of times with no real issues. However, today I decided to try out Fusion and things did not go well. I tried to use a tractor on one of my clips and it was taking maybe 10 seconds per frame to render. My footage is 4k, though I set the time line to 1080. Based on the what I have read, I should be able to handle resolve and fusion at 1080. Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Also, it is okay to set the timeline to 1080 for editing and then switch to 4k for the final product?


My system is as follows:
CPU: Ryzen 3600
RAM: 16 GB
GPU: 1660 Super 6GB
SSD: Lexar NM610 500GB
OS: Win10 Pro

Any advice or information would be appreciated. If I just don't have the system to use Fusion, so be it.
