Loader node not loading videos

I am using free Resolve 16.2.5.015 and it seems that my loader nodes will not import MP4 files. It has no problem with JPG. Is this a limitation of the free version of Resolve? I am trying to create some macros for distribution and a loader that handles video importing into the free Resolve sure would be handy. Thank you.

No, it's a limitation of Resolve's Fusion page full stop. The Loader node won't load videos, only images and image sequences.

MediaIn nodes are required for loading videos in Resolve's Fusion page.

Just hit this, Is this still true? If so why don't you get any warning or error when you open video files? Confusing.
