Import EXR 32 bit file in Fusion Studio 17 as 16 bit ...

PostFri Dec 11, 2020 8:33 am

Hallo everybody;
why if I import an EXR 32 bit file in Fision Studio, it interprets the EXR as 16 bit ?
See the image opened in Photoshop:
HDRI 32 bit.jpg
HDRI 32 bit.jpg (249.19 KiB) Viewed 885 times

and then opened in Fision Studio:
HDRI 32 bit in 16 bit.jpg
HDRI 32 bit in 16 bit.jpg (314.88 KiB) Viewed 885 times

Thanks for a reply!

Check the settings in the Import tab of the Loader node. It's probably set to Default, which might be configured in your preferences to float16. Of you change it to Format, it should detect the bit depth properly.

The relevant preferences are in Global and Default Settings: "Frame Format" and "Loader." If the Loader depth pref is set to Default, then it will always use whatever is set in the Color Depth section of Frame Format. But as always, the setting in the node overrides whatever you see in the prefs.

I did it

Sorry, I am completely new in Fusion Studio. I can't find Global and Default Settings: "Frame Format" and "Loader."...
