Tracker problem in Fusion 17 studio

PostThu Feb 04, 2021 2:38 pm

I am quite new to Fusion so it took me a while to figure this out thinking this was all user error.
It seems to me that the tracker connectors are broken; the moment i try to connect a masks center to for instance unsteady position, the mask looses its masking capability, the same goes for unsteady angle.

It works correct in Resolve 17 studio....
Where to report this?

Which version of 17 is this happening in for you?

I've been tracking a lot of stuff lately in F17 and haven't encountered that. Not saying this couldn't be a bug but maybe the resolution of the mask is different to the footage you apply it on? Resolve changes the comp default settings based on the clips, Fusion might be set to FHD while the footage is UHD.

Have you actually tracked any footage with the footage? I just tried the same thing you showed in your example video, and the same thing happened when I added a Tracker node but didn't track anything with it. Once I tracked some footage, the mask moved as expected.

I'm pretty sure I saw the tracked path on the tracker node in the video.

Yes i actually did... for the moment i am not even concerned if the mask moves, but rather that it stops masking... Just wondering if this behavior also exists in other builds.

Best regards, robert
