cropping a scene with an image plane

PostTue Mar 19, 2024 10:39 pm

Hi,

I have a distored image plane. I created this to model a landscape (built it from a pointcloud that was created by a camera-track from a DJI footage).
This image plane shall cut out other 3D objects in the scene. So, the resulting mesh shall cut through and omit other 3D objects, that are below the plane, and retain all the 3D parts that are above the plane.

Possible?

Thank you,
Bela.

Of course it is : merge everything including a camera3D in a merge3D and put your imagePlane at the right spot, between the camera and the other objects supposed to be cut out...
The WF looks a bit weird but form what I read, it's easily doable
*MacMini M1 16 Go - Ext nvme SSDs on TB3 - 14 To HD in 2 x 4 disks USB3 towers
*Legacy MacPro 8core Xeons, 32 Go ram, 2 x gtx 980 ti, 3SSDs including RAID
*Resolve Studio everywhere, Fusion Studio too
