Fade in over green screen creating color mixing

I have a clip of a red curtain with a slow fade from black. The black has been replaced with a green screen; so the red curtain fades in over the green screen. This is the clip I was given - a red curtain fading in over a green screen.

I have used the delta keyer in Fusion, but in the frames where the curtain is not fully opaque, the green is combining with the red to create orange -- the curtain turns from orange to red as the fade in happens, and I would like to prevent that.

First, tell the person(s) who produced the abomination of a source clip that they are dimwits

Then first and simplest thing to try is to kill green channel completely (set it to 0.0), and replace the green with weighted red channel if necessary (if you need to get some luminance back).

That dimwit would be me. I have a 15-year old project that I am trying to update, and there is only so much one can do.

I did find the solution to my problem through trial and error --
1) On the Fusion Page
2) The Inspector for DeltaKeyer
3) The Key tab
4) slide Balance value to 0

I don't know why it worked -- what does the Balance Value do? -- but it did.
