Documentation

PostMon Nov 10, 2014 4:13 pm

I'm curious about the documentation for Fusion. The only manual that has been available was online only, and recently taken down. It definitely needed improvements, but it was useful in many areas. Now, we have no reference to look up.

Is BMD planning on putting their own manual up soon? For us daily users, it's a common resource.

The User manual is now hosted on our site.

Just click Support -> Fusion (icon).

You should see it in the list of notes.

Thanks Joshua - I found it! (You can delete my other thread on the same subject - sorry for the doublepost.)

The documentation was always lacking in several areas, and I'm hoping we'll see some improvements in that area soon. I recently started researching and creating fuses, and came across many broken links and missing info in the old online documentation. I see that the User Manual and Tool Reference on the BMD site don't cover fuses at all (I didn't expect that they would). I'm wondering if there is a timeframe that we can expect to see reference for that and other scripting info.

Hey Derek,

No problem at all! I hear what you're saying. I know we'd like to make sure that knowledge is saved but it was a bit unwieldy.

Unfortunately right now, I don't know of a time frame for a scripting reference. I think it's really a matter of making it so that it's available in a manner that is nice and makes sense.

Regarding documentation, can you clarify something for me?
I've got Fusion 7 downloaded and running, but it seems to me the manual isn't tallying with the software.
In the comparison chart, it says you can have multiple clips per loader, the manual shows the loader control with a clips list tab, but the software itself doesn't have one.
Either I am missing something, or that "compare" list isn't accurate.

Anyone? Presuming you have the free version installed of course. That said, does the clip tab show up in the loader for 7.5 at all?
