*BUG* Export Jpeg sequence

PostWed Dec 03, 2014 9:52 am

An odd bug maybe. After exporting several different JPEG sequences from the same Fusion file and importing them into Adobe Premiere CC 2014 to edit. Everything seems fine until trying to export that from Premiere into any other format (ie. mp4, quicktime, etc.). The renders always end with an unidentified error. This was tested thouroughly within Premiere to localize the problem to no solution. I rerendered all sequences from Fusion as PNG and that worked fine. This was also tested on various HP workstations (Win 7 and Win 8.1).

Possibly something happening while Fusion is rendering the JPEG files?

Hi Lee.

Hmmm...that sounds a bit odd....
One thing you could try though to try to appease Premiere,
is in the Format-Tab of the JPG-Saver tick on 'ChromaSubsampling'.

Would be interesting to see if Premiere behaves any different with that.

Cheers.

Hi Eric,

A quick test and the problem persists even with "ChromaSubsampling" checked.

Error compiling movie. Unknown error.

Odd thing is, with a short sequence (50 frames)Premiere does actually finish the export. But with a higher amount (150 frames), the error occurs. This is only happening with the Fusion rendered JPEG sequences. JPEG sequences from After Effects are exporting properly.

Thanks,

Lee

Hi Lee.

What happens if you render (say) 151 frames,
but cut off that last frame in Premiere's timeline?

Can you share an example-jpg out of your sequence by chance?

Cheers.

Eric.
