Red frames from Avid

PostWed Feb 11, 2015 6:06 am

In Fusion studio 7.6.
I am bringing in clips from Avid via Connection getting red frames with errors:

Loader1 failed to load file "F:\New Project\Misc test fx\Transition\\Avid\Clip_002\Clip_002_000000009.raw" (clip "shots:Avid\Clip_002\Clip_002_0012.raw" at frame 9...
Seems like it will load the first frame but that's it.. when I render , my Avid TL is loaded with red frames.

any ideas
Mike

Avid will export a single frame of the clip, There is a button in the Connection plugin that will export the entire range.
so the process is export the clip, then edit the comp.

Hi Steve:
Thanks for your feedback. I don't recall having to do this in the past . i went back And doubled checked the old documentation. This sounds like the " manual method describe on page 9. is the "auto method" no longer supported? IE: Just click edit effect?
Anyhow I tried it and Avid responds with a promp: "raw files will be half size.... would you like to continue? I get the same results but everything is Red.
Also I doubled checked the "compressed option for raw" files. It is off.

The Avid is running in Proxy( half size), you have to run it full res.

I did some more testing with other imported non AMA footage Still nothing. Just to clarify, when you say
"proxy mode" you are referring to "high" resolution projects at 2-4k right?
I tried importing .tgas secs and other footage into HD project but I am still getting red frames.
