Fusion 7 crashes upon startup (Windows 7)

PostFri May 29, 2015 8:54 pm

Hello there, I have recently installed Fusion 7, the free version, and upon opening the program the initialization screen is on for about a second or two before crashing. I have repaired and uninstalled multiple times and it is beginning to become frustrating. If someone could help that would be splendid.

Also I disabled Norton firewall temporarily, I also checked for the eyeonQT and eyeonScript through control panel, they begin, but quickly end. :/

My computers specs are:

OS is Windows 7 Ultimate
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 (drivers are up to date.)
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 1 TB
Processor: AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Processor @ 3.5 GHz

this shows, then crashes.

So if someone could help and guide me through this issue I would be more than happy. Have a nice day!

It may not only be the firewall but also the virus scanner.
Can you please try to deactivate them as well or better setup an exceptions.
This includes all the .exe in the Fusion install dir. Also make sure that the windows firewall does not kick in when the third party firewall is deactivated.

In case there is still an issue it is very likely that it is caused by the graphics card driver. This is something that only can be solved by BMD/AMD.
You might try to roll back to a different driver version. I can't tell you which, since I'm on NVIDIA here.

Maybe someone else can report a combination that is known to work?
